Walgreens Corporate Coupon Policy
Walgreens corporate coupon policy can be obtained here. It is always a good idea to print the policy and have it with you at all times.

Competitors Coupons
Walgreens does not accept competitors coupons.

Store Coupons
Walgreens issues store coupons which are printed in their weekly sales circular (Instant Value Coupons or IVC) as well as in monthly coupon booklets located at the front of the store and in the pharmacy area. There is also a 0.99 childrens book available!

Register Rewards
Register Rewards (RR) are manufacturer coupons  similar to the Catalina coupons that print from a machine at the register following the purchase of qualifying items.  When used correctly, you can get items for free or at very little cost.

Buy One Get One Free (BOGO B1G1)
Walgreens policy states When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

Internet Printable Coupons
Walgreens accepts valid internet print at home coupons.

Coupon Order
To ensure the best deal, always hand the cashier your manufactures coupons first, followed by store coupons and finally register rewards.  This ensures a coupon overage which can then be used towards the purchase of other items. When store coupons are scanned first, it causes the register to beep, indicating an overage (the coupons are worth more than the price of the item).  In this instance, the cashier can adjust the value of the coupon down and that’s not what we want! However when the manufactures coupons are scanned first, the register will not react, allowing you to receive the overage.

Rain Checks
Walgreens does issue and honor rain checks. Rain checks may only be used on in-store purchases and are only valid for 30 days.

When Problems Occur
Unfortunately even with the best of intentions things can go wrong. If you have problems with a cashier, it is best to speak with the store manager. If the issue isn’t resolved after speaking with the manager, you may want to speak with someone at corporate.
